It's Never Too Late To Say

It’s Never Too Late To Say…

10

Apologies for having you wait an extra week for my second piece of good news, following Sophie finally completing her flat purchase. Here it is… the cover of my new book, It’s Never Too Late To Say…, the final book in the Liberty Sands trilogy. Will Holly find her happy ever after? Good question! The manuscript (or should I say most of it) went over to my copy editor on Monday, so we are still on course for publication at the end of May/beginning of June. It’s funny, I’ve built up quite a relationship with Holly and the rest of the characters in the books so it will be a little weird saying goodbye to them. I hope you like the cover and the book – more information on how to pre-order will be on www.juliarobertsbooks.co.uk soon.

Well, moving in day for Sophie edges closer as her sofa, chair and bed base are being delivered on Monday. All she really needs now are curtains and she will be good to go. I can’t show you the picture of her moving-in present this week as I haven’t given it to her yet – it’s been a bit of a hectic week. We’re going over tomorrow to clean the carpets with my Vax machine and steam clean the kitchen with my H2O steam mop. Speaking of kitchens, I need to order her some Cook’s Essentials saucepans – so much to remember at the moment!

My Focus on Fashion this week has to be the 16th Anniversary shows for Michele Hope. I presented Michele’s first ever show on QVC so it’s a shame that I’m not doing any of the anniversary shows. Initially she only brought us knitwear – I wonder if any of you still have any of the original pieces? The range has blossomed over the years of course with lots of you loving the stretch lace. There will be plenty of event pricing and here are just a few styles you might like to take a look at in advance of the shows. First we have a sleeveless two piece in stretch rose lace. It’s available in a choice of five colours – my favourites are the lime and royal blue. There is a matching dip back lace cardigan in the same five colour choices. One of my favourite pieces is the boucle hologram shrug (it’s a long shrug at 26 inches in length), which comes in ivory or navy (my preferred choice). There are also some old favourites featuring like this textured cardigan. I have it in purple but it comes in your choice of twelve shades. It’s a great year round layering piece. Happy Anniversary Michele – I hope they make you a gluten-free cake!!!

Staying with fashion, today’s Fashion on Friday is Together. I have several of their tops and may well add a couple more today. I hope you will be able to join Jenny and I at 5pm. I’m also on at 2pm with Ultrasun, my preferred choice of sun protection, and 4pm with Links of London – hopefully the TSV will still be around. After today I’m not on air again until next Friday – I’m working Thursday but behind the scenes, unless somebody goes sick.

I have a rather important football match to attend at Wembley on Sunday – if you’re a neutral please turn into a Crystal Palace fan for the day… Come On You Eagles!

You will want to check my blog next week as I’m going to be running a competition to coincide with Jewellery Month in May – more details next week.

I’ll leave you with my yoga cat calendar pose for April… I reckon I could manage that but I’m not sure about Wilfie or Milo!!!

Have a great weekend

much love

    Hi Julia,
Good to hear Sophie is moving into her flat. I’m sure she will be very happy once everything is sorted. Sounds like you are going to be busy, cleaning carpets and kitchen. Is she moving far from you.?

Oh great not long to wait for your next book, looking forward to that. You have done well.

Love the Cat yoga picture, I am sure if I tried that I will do myself an injury.

Enjoy your football match and your time off.

    Love Jean xx

      Hi Jean
Saturday morning was spent cleaning the carpets at Sophie’s new flat – I started and Sophie finished while I steam cleaned the kitchen. Her new bed base arrived on Monday – just awaiting the Magniflex mattress now.
Very happy that Crystal Palace beat Watford to go through to the FA Cup Final against Man Utd next month!
This week the edit on my new book starts – it’s all go.
      Love
      Julia

    Hi Julia,
Congratulations on your latest novel. I’d love to be able to put pen to paper and write . My friend is always saying I should write a book when I tell her my stories from my nursing days! It’s knowing where to start. You never know, I could have a hit series like Call the Midwife, LOL.
I saw that your team won today but Swansea City lost. We’ve got our regional matches next weekend. It’s billed as “Judgement Day”. Should be good. Wales are playing a few matches prior to the New Zealand Tour but we don’t know yet if they are on terrestrial channel or the sport’s channel. We don’t have the latter so will be disappointed if it is on Sky.
Anyway enjoy your days off. It’s turned quite chilly again (although I’m sitting with the fan on as I’m having a glowing moment!)
All the best, Tina S x

      Hi Tina,
It really is a case of just sitting down and doing it – the first ten thousand words are the hardest! The edit starts this week which is very intensive but still on course for the end of next month. Hard to believe that this time last year the first book wasn’t even published!
Delighted with Crystal Palace – they were definitely the better team on the day.
The weather is deceptive at the moment – blue skies but bitter wind – it snowed in London yesterday!
      Speak soon

      Hi David
Thanks for your kind compliment re my shows on QVC.
It was an amazing atmosphere at Wembley last Sunday – we were the better team on the day but it was a bit nerve wracking in the latter stages of the second half. For once I don’t feel Man Utd are unbeatable but we have to be playing at our very best to beat them. Hoping to get tickets – my son will miss it though as he is taking his U11’s on tour to Den Haag.

      Hi Sandra
Thanks for your good wishes for Sophie – she hasn’t actually moved in yet but the carpets are now clean and her bed base has been delivered. Just waiting for her sofas and Magniflex mattress and she will be good to go.
The book is finished – copy editing this weekend and next week and then it goes to the formatted in America. I hope you will enjoy it and your holiday
      Love
