Inspired by Easter sun

I hope you all managed to have a relaxing Bank Holiday weekend.

Although I was at The Q on Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday, I was lucky enough to spend Saturday and Sunday with my family. On Saturday we visited Mum in Sussex and caught up with my brothers, nieces and nephews. It was a lovely opportunity for Ali and Jack to see their Nan which, with them both away at university, isn’t that easy.

Being a dog lover, Mum insisted we also take Toby and Ellie with us – so it really was a ‘full house’ – well, bungalow! Mum loved having us all together but needed a good sleep after we had left.

The sun even managed to put in a welcome (if not fleeting) appearance, and as I sat on her recliner in the garden remembered that we have a JPE Fitover sunglasses Today’s Special Value offer this Thursday – they are a great solution for us spectacles wearers from Jonathan Paul Eyewear – when it’s sunny or bright.

As the name suggests they simply fit over your existing prescription glasses and provide that sunglasses experience without losing focus!

Earlier this year I got new reading glasses and I thought I would solve this problem by ordering my reading glasses in a tinted lens option as well – but in truth they are only of use when it’s sunny and can’t really be used indoors as they’re so dark! I wish I’d got two pairs of clear reading glasses instead, popping on Fitovers as and when needed.

ultrasun editNext week I’ll be taking a few days break away from work but just wanted to mention Tuesday’s Ultrasun TSV launching at midnight Monday with Jilly and Abi. I cannot speak highly enough about this range and thoroughly recommend it to anyone. My whole family have used Ultrasun since I first discovered it at The Q a few years back, and it’s not just for going away to foreign shores – I use it on bright and sunny days here in the UK whether walking the dogs, gardening, playing golf or photographing wildlife. My daughter thinks my pose in the pic taken whilst applying my Ultrasun in Spain in 2014 is hilarious – she’d be mortified if she knew I was sharing it with you! When you get to my age you’re past embarrassment.

On Thursday we have a Northern Nights two pillow set TSV. It features mini feathers and down in a lovely quilted covering. Although I’m not working that day, I was given the opportunity to try out these exciting new designs and was offered the choice of soft, medium or firm fill – I went for the latter.

I felt the firm would give me slightly more support and indeed it does, but in no way feels too firm. As I have often said on-air I’m someone who usually finds that 2 pillows are too high and 1 is not high enough ! … I know – awkward, but there you go. I have found that my trusty Magniflex pillow also works really well for me and these feather and down pillows are quite different in many ways; it’s fair to say they are not as firm, but still offer wonderful comfort and support – so I keep swapping them over. At the time of writing I am sleeping equally well with both? I’m sure with our brilliant 30 day money back guarantee you’ll soon find out if this new Northern Nights Pillow duo will suit you.

Back soon with riveting news of my break… or not?

’Til then stay well protected and embarrassing!

Dale
