20 years old…and a few days!

Cutting the birthday cakeHello!

Well there was a great deal of build up to our birthday celebrations and what a fabulous time we had. Simply brilliant. The day was great fun – I hope you managed to tune in.

I was thrilled to be invited to present the official birthday hour with Julia at 2pm. We rounded off the show with a delicious cake (all eaten now!) and a snap shot for the archives, to show on the next birthday…in 20 years perhaps!?

If you watched the very first broadcast with Julia you may recognise the jacket she's wearing in the picture. Yes, it's the very same and it looked fabulous!

QVC 20th birthday cakeJulia and I had a wonderful time and are putting in a request to present some more shows together in the future…do you think management will allow? We were very well behaved…well, most of the time ;-)

Here's to another 20 years, and beyond!

Thank you for all of the lovely tweets over the birthday period. I've read them all. If you'd like to get in touch you can comment on my blog below, or tweet me; my twitter address is @mecharliebrook.

I've had some lovely feedback on the Matt Goss interview and performances. I truly love the new album. You can order it from QVC, just click here, and if you'd like to catch the performance and interview again…well, just click here! Lots of clicks available this week on my blog!

Looking ahead to another exciting Day - Diamonique Day this Tuesday 8th October. I'm on air at 8pm. Destination Gems is having a rest this week while I bring you an hour of 'Diamonique White Christmas' – I'm then back on air at 10pm with Alison Keenan and the grand finale!

See you soon, take care.

Charlie x

    Hi Charlie,
Yes you and Julia make a good team. You certainly looked as if you were both enjoying it all. I am sure we will see more of you both together doing some shows.
As for the Cake it looked yummy, it is a shame you did not have any as you do not like Cake do you. (Only joking). I saw Julia blow out the candles. And yes the jacket looked great, not so sure about the shoulder pads though.
Looking forward to the Jewellery show’s, the ‘Diamonique White Christmas’ sounds good.
I guess you are on a diet now after eating that yummy cake.
Have a great weekend and take care, and look after those gorgeous dogs of your’s.
    Love Jean X

    Morning Charlie.
We all enjoyed watching the T.S.V’s from Australia [ Charlie Bears and Honor Pearls] seemed strange watching all those miles away.
Missed all the Birthday celebrations though but it sounded fun. Who ate all the cake ???.
I’ll be back home for Diamonique day so will be tuning in with Bella to see what is new. Hope the card arrive and didn’t give your eyes too much trouble ??? Glad the twitter came through [ not sure what happened to the Charlie Bears one though].
All the best to the family, and NOT looking forward to the colder climbs of the UK.
    Love Debby.x

Hello Andrea, thanks for getting in touch.
Julian and Carmel have left QVC now and off to pastures new!
Thank you for asking after the dogs. It was such a worry but I’m pleased to say all is well now and they’re snoozing quietly as I write this!
    Take care
