Happy September! I can’t believe I came back from holiday, went to buy a birthday card and Christmas cards were already on sale – it was only the end of August! Oh my goodness it gets earlier every year. Mind you, the weather I came back to was horrendous.
We had a heatwave in Spain then driving back from Gatwick it was like a monsoon. The M25 was almost flooded. So I guess the sooner we embrace autumn the better. I actually quite like this time of year, providing it’s not raining. I like the hot weather when on holiday but it can get uncomfortable when you are doing all your usual running around if it gets too hot. The slightly cooler ‘Indian summer’ weather we often get in September suits me perfectly.
One way to keep the feeling of summer going is the brand new fragrance from Liz Earle. I love the fragrances that Liz produces and my favourite has always been Botanical Essence No. 15, but the new Botanical Essence No. 20 is just beautiful. Naming it 20 is appropriate, as it’s their 20th anniversary year after all.
It’s an all-year-round fragrance but it reminds me of a long fresh summer walk. No. 20 is a handcrafted eau de parfum with Damask Rose (which is strange as I’m not normally a rose fan) blended with Pink Pepper, Indian Jasmine Patchouli, Hibiscus and the really expensive Sandalwood.
It smells really soft (if that’s possible) and feminine with just a hint of intrigue. It’s one you will definitely want to get your hands on. It pre-launches on QVC this week but I’d be quick as I have a feeling it will be gone as soon as it arrives – check the website as soon as you can, and don’t wait until it appears on air!
Oh and don’t forget to let me know what you think! I hope you love it as much as I do.
